Veteran actor and wrestler Dara Singh passed away in Mumbai on Thursday. The 83-year-old actor was admitted to a Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital on July 7 following a cardiac arrest.

Singh was shifted to his Juhu home from the hospital as his family wanted him to be at home in the last stages of his life.

I will always remember him as Hanuman the role he played in Ramayan, he was one of beginners in India who made us like wrestling. He was a person also. Dara Singh, who won the title of Rustam-e-Hind for his wrestling prowess, entered the film world in the 1960s. He appeared in various films like "Watan Se Door", "Daada", "Rustom-E-Baghdad", "Sher Dil", "Sikandar E Azam", "Raaka", "Mera Naam Joker" and "Dharam Karam".

The last film he worked in was 'Jab We Met'.

R.I.P.
