God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar unveiled the new BMW 3 Series by German car maker BMW which is priced between Rs 28.90 lakh and Rs 37.90 lakh (All India ex-showroom).

It is avaiable in two desings- Sport Line and Luxury Line.

Stating that BMW cars have been one of his passions from early days, Tendulkar said, "I drove this car this month in London. It felt incredible."

"To me above all being a car enthusiast, safety is also equally important. I am really impressed. It is absolutely stunning and the interiors are unbelievable. It has got a lot of space. Compared to the earlier ones, this is far more spacious," Tendulkar added.



"The all-new BMW 3 Series is a vehicle that has an unbeatable profile and is born from pioneering technology, a beautiful design and a lot of passion," BMW Group India president Andreas Schaaf said at the launch.

BMW holds the 40% market share of Luxury Cars in India. It sold 750 units in June this year.

Andreas Schaaf said that the company has lined up four more launches for this year. "We will see the brand new six series Coupe, one of the most beautiful cars BMW has come up with in last 15 years. Its almost a sports sedan. We will see the new refreshment of seven series. It will also be launched in second half of the year. Will also launch the X1 and X6 in new looks. These four major launches will come up in the next 4-5 months in India," he said.

Indian cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar is the Brand Ambassador for German Car company BMW. It was unveiled on Friday by BMW.

"My association started way back in 1993 when I bought my first BMW. Since then I have had many cars from the BMW stable. My children and my wife are big fans of BMW."

Sachin is a big lover of cars and very choosy for his car collection. He owns many big cars like Ferrari but BMW is his best and he has used many BMW cars.

"When you talk about a brand like BMW, you don’t think twice. You know that you are going to get amazing quality, comfort and above all, perfect safety. I am supporting the entire Indian Olympic squad. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to go as I have to prepare for the series in New Zealand. The training schedule has started and I will not be able to go to England. But my good wishes are always with them."

Christopher Nolan's final entry in Batman trilogy The Dark Knight Rises did good business on weekend in India as it grossed Rs.25 crore.

After Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, this is last in this trilogy. It is the most anticipated Hollywood movie which saw a good hype. In India too people were eager to see it as there was a good number advance bookings.

The weekend collection is the second higher for a Hollywood movie after The Amazing Spider-Man which took the opening of Rs.34.50 crore. Spider-Man 4 was released in 1000 prints while The Dark Knight Rises was released in 650 prints.

It did a good business of Rs.7 crore on its opening and it should gross around Rs.65-70 crore in India. The reviews are highly impressive and that will surely help the movie to do the further business.

The distribution was sold to Dar Media for Rs.18 crore and it has already recovered its distribution cost. There will be good profit from it. It is second time that the film's distribution rights were sold to a single theatrical distribution, first was Spider Man 3 which was sold for Rs.15 crore.

Veteran actor and wrestler Dara Singh passed away in Mumbai on Thursday. The 83-year-old actor was admitted to a Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital on July 7 following a cardiac arrest.


Singh was shifted to his Juhu home from the hospital as his family wanted him to be at home in the last stages of his life.

Salman Khan is one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, having done more than 80 films. His recently great success has made him the profit venture in Bollywood. If we look at his recent releases, his last three movies have grossed over 100crore and that surely makes him the money machine. His recent releases created so much buzz in industry and that helped his films to make more profit. This trend started with Wanted which was released in 2009, it didn't cross the 100 crore mark but it made Salman the hot pick and later Dabangg was the game changer.

Salman's next film Ek Tha Tiger is the most anticipated movie of 2012 for sure. We all have seen the trailer and it has created a lot of buzz around. For those who don't know I would like to tell them that Salman Khan has charged- hold your breath- 32 crore for this movie. It is sure a 100 crore movie and people are expecting it to break the record of 3 Idiots.
